Most stains are easiest to treat in the first few hours. Blot — never rub — to lift excess before it spreads deeper into the fibre.
Turmeric and oil stains respond well to a dish-soap pre-treat, while ink and pen marks usually need isopropyl alcohol dabbed from the back of the fabric.
Protein-based stains like sweat, blood or food are best treated with cold water first — hot water can set them permanently.
When in doubt, don’t experiment on silk, wool or dry-clean-only fabric. Bag it separately and let our team assess it — aggressive home treatment is the #1 reason delicate garments get damaged.
